I’m Calvin, a design lead working across brand, product and technology. I’m interested in making complex things clearer, building systems that hold together and creating room for craft, judgement and beauty.

I studied Graphic Design Communication at Chelsea College of Arts before starting my career at The School of Life. Here design was closely aligned with psychology, philosophy and publishing. This experience shaped what still interests me today: how ideas become systems and experiences, and how something intellectually complex can be made immediate.

I’ve worked across identity, campaigns, digital products and design systems, both independently and inside growing technology companies. II currently lead brand design at Revizto with a small in-house team, while remaining hands-on across the work.

Alongside commercial work, I build my own projects using code, AI and generative systems – and write about design, technology, aesthetics and the things I find myself collecting.

My approach

Understanding

Good design starts with understanding what something actually is – organisations, products, people and constraints. That includes asking what should be made, not simply how it should look.

Building

Whether the outcome is an identity, interface or campaign, I work systematically — building enough structure for consistency and scale without limiting what can happen inside it.

Making

I like directing work, but I also like making it. Design, code, image-making and prototyping inform one another, and staying close to the material usually leads to better decisions.
